Art Shows

I've spent most of the summer doing Art Shows in one form or another. This picture of the rocks on Franklin Island sold very well. I have new pictures hanging in Joy Bistro for the month of September and October.

Hills of Mulmur

Taken just outside of Creemore.

Muskoka Morning

Taken on Portage Lake near Gordon Bay.

Laura Darling

Laura is a talented painter who was exhibiting in a booth near me at RAW. I happened to notice the shadows on her face from the hat and asked to take a picture. Her paintings are on display at Joy Bistro.

Patti after the rain

Patti had the misfortunate to hold her annual garden party on what was probably the wettest day of the summer. For three hours it poured, forcing guests to seek dry shelter in the house. Finally it cleared and every one ended up outside again and I got this shot of the hostess looking somewhat relieved at the appearance of the sun.

Beaches Jazz Festival

The rain held off; the music was good, and there is something liberating about a busy main street being taken over by people.

Heading North

More from the continuing experimentation with High Definition Resolution. This is Hwy 400 looking south, just outside of Parry Sound. Since this is a time lapse photo, traffic had to be light and it took quite a while to find the right moment.

Lucaffe

Pavel Sokol, the owner of this franchise, has been exhibiting two of my streetcar prints in his window on Queen Street East. When I can, I drop by on my Vespa and park it outside the shop. After all, this is an Italian coffee shop.

Caps

Brody loves taking my cap off my head and putting it on his own. I finally gave him mine, and put on another one.

Dock Spider

Allison favourite expression (and now Brody's) when she sees a dock spider is "Eewwww" screamed at high levels while running off the dock.

Parry Sound in HDR

Recently while in Parry Sound I did some more experimenting with High Definition Resolution. I was fortunate to pick a good day with little traffic and beautiful clounds.
